Hannalie holds the degrees BLC and LLB from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She is an admitted advocate of the High Court of Namibia and of the Supreme Court of South Africa since 1994. During 2004, she was appointed as a Notary Public.

Hannalie was a long-standing member of the Committee on Magistrates Court matters, as well as a member of the Rules Board. She is a previous member of a subcommittee of the Law Reform Commission involved in the drafting of the new Divorce Act and the new matrimonial property legislation for civil and customary marriages, a previous councillor of the Law Society of Namibia and a trustee of the Rule of Law Trust. Hannalie is a court-accredited mediator.

Hannalie was appointed by the Judge President on the 12th of February 2007 as a member of the Ad Hoc Committee on Rules of Court and Practice Directions. She is also currently serving on the Ad Hoc Committee for Electoral Tribunal Rules at the behest of the Judge President.

Hannalie is a partner of the firm and focuses on family law, commercial law and litigation in the High and the Supreme Court, and debt recovery.
